GOTS prohibits toxic chemicals:
Under GOTS rules, certified fabrics cannot use harmful or toxic substances such as heavy metals, formaldehyde, chlorine bleach, azo dyes, or GMOs.

Safe dyes and auxiliaries: Only approved low-impact dyes and auxiliaries are allowed, and wastewater treatment is mandatory.

Health focus: GOTS requires products to be safe for human health (especially important for baby and children’s textiles).
