Our Clothing

We only use GOTS certified organic cotton because it's the highest, most independently verified standard in the industry. Cotton simply labelled "organic" without GOTS certification isn't guaranteed to meet the same environmental and chemical safety standards. For clothing worn by babies and young kids, we wanted the assurance of full-chain certification, not just a marketing claim.

All our garments come with the GOTS symbol. The highest accreditation you can have. We hold all certifications from our suppliers and manufacturers. If clothing states it is organic and they do not have the GOTS symbol on there, then I would not trust it.

GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard, the leading certification for organic textiles worldwide. To be GOTS certified, a garment must be made from at least 95% certified organic fibres, and every stage of production, from harvesting the cotton through to the finished garment, must meet strict environmental and social criteria including banning harmful chemicals, toxic bleaches and azo dyes, and requiring fair labour practices throughout the supply chain. When you see the GOTS symbol on our clothing, it means the entire journey has been independently certified, not just the raw cotton.

We dye our organic cotton corduroy using Dystar, a global leader in sustainable textile dyeing technology, known for reducing water, energy and chemical use compared to conventional dyeing. Combined with our GOTS certified cotton, this means the colour in your Korduroy Kidz pieces is achieved without the harsh chemicals used in a lot of conventional children's clothing.

Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilisers, and GOTS certified processing prohibits harmful substances like formaldehyde, heavy metals and toxic bleaches used in some conventional textile manufacturing. That means no residual chemical exposure against your child's skin, just soft, breathable, natural fibre. It's a popular choice for parents of babies and young children with sensitive or reactive skin, since there's nothing artificial left in the fabric to cause irritation.

Yes, our organic cotton corduroy is soft, breathable and lightweight, which is why it works well across seasons, not just winter. Combined with being chemical-free from GOTS certified processing, it's a comfortable, skin-safe choice for babies and toddlers who are in their clothing all day.

Corduroy is perfectly fine in the Summer. Our clothing is very lightweight and breathable. I wouldn't recommend our jacket on a hot day though. It is meant for the cold.

Sizing

Our sizing is Unisex unless specified. Our clothing is designed for a loose fit.

If you are unsure of what would be the correct fit for you please refer to our easy to understand size charts. Located on all product pages.

Simply refer to the chart, take a measuring stick and measure the length and width of something you already have that fits your kids. Then compare this and find the closest size from the chart to make a decision on what size of ours would work for you.

Returns

To share some insight into our brand, Our brand is only a small family owned and operated business. Myself (Ryan) and my partner Meg- pack and ship everything ourselves so I ask you to kindly keep this in mind when you order from us.

If you could please be sure that you’ve checked our sizing charts and chosen the size that would fit your child correctly, this would be a huge help to us in reducing unnecessary returns.
